The preparatory pre-conference determined the main topics of the autumn international conference "Central Europe at the Crossroads"
Source: Patrimonium Sancti Adalberti (CZ) – The conference and sports complex Hotel Oáza in Říčany near Prague hosted a preparatory pre-conference on Monday, June 17, the aim of which was to determine the basic topics of the upcoming 3rd international conference this year under the title "Central Europe at the Crossroads", which will be held on the 25th-27th October 2024 in Prague, again at the Pyramida Hotel.
In addition to members of the organizing association Patrimonium Sancti Adalberti, the conference was attended by representatives of partner organizations of the closer Central European cooperation project from nine countries of the wider Central European area.
The participants agreed that three areas in particular are currently key: security (in the broadest sense of the word), economic cooperation and the response of Central European countries to global political changes. The participants then led an extensive debate on these topics, which ended with the definition of specific subtopics, on which both the main guests in the panel discussion and the experts in the specialist sections focused on these questions should comment.
After the official part of the meeting, the participants were delighted by the performance of the young artists of the violin Ševčík Quartet, who played works by Central European authors, namely Joseph Haydn, Robert Schumann, Bedřich Smetana, Vladimír Sommer and Antonín Dvořák.
The conclusion of the evening was left to a banquet and an informal discussion by the participants.
